Winner of the WCMA Jazz Album of the Year in 2014 for January, saxophonist Jim Brenan is the featured musician/educator in our first Mentorship Weekend. The Silas Friesen Quintet – Silas Friesen (trumpet), Eric Wong (sax), Jasmine Der (piano), Emmett Fortosky (bass), and Joel Jeschke – has recently been working with Jim Brenan.
