Does Balboa intrigue you? Do you like being playful, creative, rhythmic, and elegant all at the same time? Balboa is for you! It will be a fantastic weekend of Bal with two of the greatest Balboa dancers and instructors of our generation: David Rehm (Washington DC) and Laura Keat (Orange County, LA). PLUS, we are pleased to welcome guest Balboa deejays and dancers from Vancouver, Matt Lam and Angie Weddell!

A little about our instructors. David Rehm created and runs the Balboa Experiment while Laura Keat created and runs California Balboa Classic, two highly regarded, fantastic events in the world community. Both of them have brought much love, life, and insight to the dance over the past decade, helping to recover this 1930's dance and make it stand on it's own two feet. Their teaching is exceptional, experience is diverse, and care for their students is earnest.

We are planning on two formal nights of social dancing, both Friday and Saturday evenings. Friday will be a Balboa social dance, and Saturday will have an emphasis on Balboa but will also include other swing dances.

Sweet Bal Jam will offer classes for all levels of dancers geared especially towards Intermediate to Advanced Lindy Hoppers and Beginner-Intermediate through Intermediate-Advanced Balboa Dancers in the prairies.

Registration includes:
*Eight (8) hours of instruction
*Both social dances on Friday and Saturday evenings
*For experienced Balboa dancers, we are pleased to offer one bonus class per day, included with registration!

As we are still working out the kinks in this early-bird stage, we are considering the addition of a some features to the event, such as a Sunday after-party, live music, more bonus classes, and Thursday happenings.
