Bio – JIM HAYNES

With 25 years full-time involvement in the entertainment industry as recording artist, songwriter and producer, Jim has toured extensively and has recorded with Festival, ABC Music, Sony and his own label, Singabout Australia.

Jim’s comedy hit ‘Since Cheryl Went Feral’ spent twenty-six weeks in the country charts and was number one for five weeks. Jim developed his skills as a comedian, reciter, story-teller and singer by touring his own show for many years and touring with artists like the legendary Slim Dusty, Beccy Cole. Melinda Schneider, Lee Kernaghan and Adam Brand. His ability to rattle through tongue twister classics like ‘Weelababarabak’ and ‘Rindercella’ never ceases to amaze, entertain and delight audiences.

Jim began the idea of morning shows at Tamworth and other festivals in the early 1990s and his morning variety shows are packed out at Tamworth ten days in a row. He is also a successful author and editor with twenty books to his credit and has been the resident Australiana expert on Radio 2UE’s top rating weekend show for more than twelve years.
