With an extensive background in Arabic and folk music, Mohamed Sorour's musical project seeks to reinvent the traditional sounds that he he is accustomed to by fusing them with multiple genres such as rock and jazz. The outcome is a rich musical performance.

Hawas هوس is an independent Egyptian band that plays alternative music which aims at exploring new musical dimensions through mixing different music genres. Hawas’ distinguished sound comes from its progressive musical style mixed with the drama of melody and lyrics. Their lyrics revolve around tales of humans; be it suffering, joy, or journeys of self-discovery.
