(Halz & Oate)-½ were formed by Oate & Halz in 1968, on the insistence of their mentor, Douglas Kubr, who believed that their mothers foresaw the band’s rise to stardom.
The band is primarily notable today for their perceived ineptitude at playing conventional rock music.
