Basket Case - The Australian Green Day Show, was formed mid 2016 when musicians Jamie Kuijpers & Troi Tyrell decided to put together a tribute show that emulated the look, energy and attitude of a real GREEN DAY show.
JK & Troi have played together in various bands, over the past 20+ years. More recently, they had been working with Craig Roberts (bass) in a Rage Against The Machine Tribute, for the past 3 years, so Craig was contacted, along with Troy Prior (Troy Cool - drums) and the first jams started in June of 2016.
The song choices have been focused around what have been arena staples at a Green Day concert. All of their biggest hits were included, like American Idiot, Welcome To Paradise, Know Your Enemy, When I Come Around, Holiday, Longview & Good Riddance (Time of your life), then concert favorites were included like Nice Guys Finish Last, East Jesus Nowhere, Burnout, She, Minority, Brain Stew & Hitchin a Ride.
“A Basket Case live show is all about bringing the energy and production of a Green Day show, to your local pub or venue. We always want our crowds to get involved and share our love for the music of Green Day”. - JK
