Festa: Salsa Legend Jimmy Bosch Live at Lula with La Borinqueña

New York Salsa legend Jimmy Bosch returns to Lula for the first time in three years.

A fiery exponent of the progressive sound he calls "Salsa Dura" (Hard Salsa), Jimmy Bosch is New York's most sought after trombonist. Of Puerto Rican descent and raised in New Jersey, Jimmy has performed and recorded with a who's who of salsa and Latin Jazz including Andy Gonzalez, Eddie Palmieri, Ray Barreto, Ruben Blades, Willie Colon, and Oscar D'Leon.

A powerful and versatile trombonist as well as a prolific composer and lyricist, Bosch is continuously re-inventing this genre of music, drawing on its rich and diverse roots. He describes his unique brand of salsa as "tropical music with a New York edge".
