Lab22 and Patron Tequila are calling upon bartenders of Cardiff and Wales to don the apron, de-sheath the bar blade, and befriend a fellow renegade in creating two signature drinks to be made alongside one another.
Off the back of his recent success with Patron Perfectionists, Thursday 20th of April will see Steve Young make his judging debut alongside Patron brand ambassador Karine Tillard, and Bacardi Brown-Forman representative Katie Burgess.
Entrants will be required to enter in pairs, and create two signature serves to be presented in tandem. One drink should be bartender focused, with all the dragon breath, smoked leather, or de-constructed tonic water your heart desires, with no limit of, or restrictions on ingredients. The other, a more consumer friendly beverage that will see the introduction of a new criteria for judging, disco-yness. Fluorescent, pulsating, you name it.
