What is Jordan Outreach?
The Lord has called us to help build whole and healthy families through the love and grace of God; by declaring His love through the preaching and teaching of His Word; and through demonstrating His love by helping meet the spiritual, physical, educational, emotional, and recreational needs of the poor.
Programs and Services
Kid’s Klub
Kid’s Klub is our after-school program for impoverished children (grades K-8th), which takes place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 4pm-7pm. Our ministry bus and/or vans pick up children from their neighborhoods, projects and/or trailer parks, and transport them to the campus of Jordan Outreach Ministries. While here, they participate in supervised activities (sports, arts and crafts, playground, swimming (seasonal), tutoring, homework assistance, and a variety of games); enjoy a hot, delicious meal; join in on a time of singing and music; and participate in an enriching Chapel service where they learn about Jesus Christ and His incredible love for them. Children are then transported home safely in the ministry vans/bus or picked up by their loved ones. Participation is free for everyone and drop-ins are always welcome.
N-Vision
N-vision is our leadership ministry team created especially for high school students. It is an opportunity to earn special trips as well as community service hours for school by serving the needs of younger students who need a helping hand. Teens are trained how to be ” big brothers” and “big sisters” in our Kids Klub program as well as manage our audio/visual department. There are also chances to help for our big events like Christmas For Kids by handing toys out to needy children and running carnival games at our Fall Festival. Every few months, teens who remain plugged in on a regular basis are rewarded with seasonal trips to the snow, beach and other exciting events! Food and Clothing Distribution
Jordan Outreach Ministries provides bulk food sacks, clothing, and personal hygiene items to families in need on a weekly basis as part of our Food and Clothing Distribution Ministry. Families hear the message of the Gospel, then receive food sacks filled with dry goods, canned and packaged items, fresh and/or frozen meats (when available), fruits and vegetables, and other perishable goods – all donated by local/regional grocers, retailers, and other non-profit organizations.
Community Outreach
Each week, staff and volunteers load up our ministry trucks with food bags and other items and head into trailer parks, migrant worker camps, and projects. They set up a stage and chairs where men, women, and children gather to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ and receive bulging sacks of food for their family. Children never leave empty handed either – each one is blessed with candy and/or goodies just for them.
Emergency Supplies
In addition to our weekly Food and Clothing Distribution Ministry which helps supply these goods on a regular basis to families in need, we also meet needs on an emergency basis as well.
Family Counseling
Family Counseling is available for those who need encouragement, guidance, and support. All counseling is biblically based and free of charge.
