Festa: HHUSC Live Band: Something Else

Mick Lee and Derek Bond, performs classic 50's and 60's Rock 'n' Roll songs and country ballads in their own distinctive style.

The duo is fronted by Mick on guitar and vocals. His strong vocal delivery and engaging personality ensure that their audiences are truly entertained. He has been a significant figure in the local music scene for many years, previously as front man with an established blues band and, more recently, leading a successful and popular Rock 'n' Roll band.

Derek, or Dr. 'B' as he's referred to, is the other half of the duo, completing their unique sound with great style on both upright 'slap' bass and Fender electric bass. Having laid down his musical roots playing in Liverpool's legendary Cavern Club and Hamburg's Star Club in the early 1960's, he has worked alongside many of the now familiar star names from that era, including Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Roy Orbison.
