Festa: Catherine Britt at the Bowlo

Catherine Britt is a journey-woman. That description sits uneasy with it's connotations of self-reflection or slowing down, but there is a lot in her story already. Releasing her first EP (produced by Bill Chambers) at the age of 14, there have been 6 studio albums since. She lived in Nashville for 5 years, won 4 golden guitars, and this is all the stats that don't address her remarkable voice, songwriting and presence. Britt is a powerhouse.

She is on holidays in the top end, and she just can't help herself. Playing at the bowlo this Saturday night from 8:30. Tickets are $15 at the door. Support from local songwriter David Garnham.
