Without deviation from the norm, progress is not possible says Rory Garton Smith, the West Coast based producer behind the internet sensation of Elk Road, as he sits watching the waves crash upon Perth's Cottesloe beach.
Since Elk Road launched his independent debut in February 2014, his music has touched more than a million listeners. Bored with the current trends in EDM and armed with a dozen crates of old vinyl, Rory created an original sound that clashes numerous cultures and fuses a dozen genres. Consequently, everyone has been coming for a bite.
