The return of Sheffield's annual Tramlines Festival is on the horizon and here at Plug we're very honoured to be hosting an official event with an outstanding line-up!

We are very proud to be bringing the Phantasy label to Sheffield and where better than Tramlines Festival?

Founded in London in 2007, Phantasy has steadily transformed into one of the UK’s most diverse and artistically ambitious small labels.

Neither rooted in electronic or alternative music, Phantasy's small but expanding stable of artists work closely with founder and creative director Erol Alkan, to achieve the best possible sound and vision for a diverse audience.

All Phantasy releases are pressed on vinyl as well as released digitally.

We could not bring the party to Sheffield without the head of Phantasy - Erol Alkan - back in Sheffield for the first time in a number of years.

Joining him will be two of the best upcoming artists on the label, Kamera and U.

► EROL ALKAN

London based artist, producer, remixer, DJ and creative director behind Phantasy Sound (home to Daniel Avery, Connan Mockasin, Ghost Culture, Babe Terror and more).

Recent remixes include Margot, The Emperor Machine, Manic Street Preachers and Tame Impala, as well as compiling and mixing 2014's critically acclaimed 'FabricLive 77' album.

► KAMERA

Exhibiting shades of the all encompassing attitude of early Warp as well as a tinge of techno industrialism that might not sound out of you place in the hands of the most underground tastemakers, Kamera’s enigmatic sound will unfold in full on a full EP through Phantasy in early 2015.

► NEW YORK TRANSIT AUTHORITY

NYTA hails not from the Big Apple, but from Bristol, UK. His real name is Mensah Anderson, who is also the seasoned producer that you probably know simply as Mensah.

The NYTA guise focuses on being a fresh outlet for his 120 – 130bpm 80′s Electro, House & Techno influenced tracks & creations.

► JOKER

A Joker production is instantly recognisable. An alloy of sexed out majestic synths, scuttering drums and basslines both warm and aggressive. The people refer to his sound as purple. Joker is the founding father of this sound.
