Summer daze and lazy ways,
My skin is turning brown.
For all the love we lost last year
We’ve stayed above the ground.

Foreign tongues in distant lands,
Bring much sought-after joy.
Like thinking I am built a man,
But reflecting only boy.

I take the road as lover now,
Her kisses hard and kind.
Seeking out her sweet embrace
Her hands and mine entwined

So stay by light. When morning comes,
Then off we go again.
And though I’ve lost a heartless life,
I’ve gained a heartful friend.
